1. はじめに
「Parentese」（以下「本アプリ」）は、ユーザーの皆様のプライバシーを尊重し、個人情報の保護に最大限努めています。本プライバシーポリシーは、本アプリの利用における情報の取り扱い方針を説明するものです。
2. 収集する情報とその利用目的
A. お客様からご提供いただく情報（Googleアカウント連携・任意）
- 収集項目: Googleアカウントでログインされた場合、メールアドレス、表示名、プロフィール画像URLを取得します。
- 利用目的: ユーザー識別および学習進捗（日々の学習ストリーク、お気に入りフレーズ、クイズの復習データ、学習タイムライン）の複数端末間同期にのみ利用します。
- 通信なしで使える範囲: ログインは任意です。フレーズ、フレーズ詳細、フラッシュカード、クイズ、毎日のコラム、お気に入り、学習の記録、各種設定はアプリ本体に収録・保存されているため、通信のない場所でも開けます。一方で、次の場面では通信を使います。広告は読み込みに通信を使い、オフラインでは読み込みに失敗して広告の枠ごと表示されません。広告の前に行う同意状況の確認（後述の「広告に関する同意」）にも、起動のたびに通信を使います。英語の読み上げ音声が端末にまだ入っていない場合は、最初に一度だけ音声データのダウンロードが必要です（入っていればオフラインでも読み上げられます）。また、表示言語が日本語のときは日本語書体の取得にも通信を使います（取得できない場合は端末標準の書体で表示されます）。
- お子さんの名前・あなたの続柄（任意）: 初回起動時のチュートリアル（全3ページの2ページ目）と設定画面の2か所で、お子さんの名前と、あなたが母・父・祖母・祖父・叔母・叔父のいずれであるかを登録できます。どちらも入力は任意で、空のままでもすべての機能をご利用いただけます。登録するとフレーズがその名前で呼びかけ、あなたの立場に合った言い方に変わります。名前と続柄は、画面に表示される文章と、その文章を端末内で読み上げるためにのみ使用します。未ログインの状態では、いずれも端末内のアプリ専用領域にのみ保存され、外部に送信されることはありません。 ログインしてアカウント同期を有効にした場合は、他の端末でも同じ言い回しが再現されるよう、Google Cloud Firestore 上のあなたのアカウントに保存されます。広告目的での利用、第三者への提供、プロファイリングへの利用は一切行いません。入力欄を空にすると、この端末と同期データの両方から削除されます。設定画面の「アカウントとデータを削除」を実行すると、学習記録とあわせてサーバー上からも消去されます。
B. 自動的に収集される情報およびサードパーティSDK
- Google AdMob（広告配信）: 本アプリは Google Mobile Ads SDK を使って広告を表示します。掲載場所は、画面下部に固定されるバナー、フレーズ一覧の中のバナー、フラッシュカードを一定枚めくるごとの広告の3か所です（クイズの問題の合間には表示しません。初回起動時のチュートリアルの間も表示しません）。広告の配信・測定および不正防止のため、次の情報が広告ネットワークである Google（第三者）に送信され、Google と共有されます。
- 広告ID（GAID）: 広告のリクエストごとに送られる、広告用の端末識別子です（目的: 広告・分析・不正防止／必須）。
- おおよその位置情報: 通信に使われるIPアドレスから Google 側が推定する、国や地域程度の大まかな位置です（目的: 広告・分析・不正防止／必須）。本アプリが端末の位置情報を読み取ることはありません。位置情報の権限も一切求めていません。
- 診断情報: 広告SDKの動作状況やエラーの記録です（目的: 広告・分析・不正防止／必須）。
- アプリの操作情報: 起動、広告の表示、広告枠のタップといった記録です（目的: 広告・分析・不正防止／必須）。
これらは、関心に合わせた広告の表示と、その効果の測定に使われます。広告を表示するうえで必要な情報のため、個別に選ぶことはできません（広告が読み込まれない場合は、これらの情報も送信されません）。お子さんの名前、あなたの続柄、メールアドレス、学習の記録が広告のリクエストに含まれることはありません。Google 側の取り扱いについては Google プライバシーポリシー および AdMob のポリシー をご確認ください。広告IDは、Android の「設定」＞「プライバシー」＞「広告」からリセットまたは削除できます。
- クラッシュログ（Firebase Crashlytics）: 不具合を数えて直すために、このインストールを区別する識別子を、端末の機種と Android のバージョンとあわせて送信します。アプリが異常終了したときは、その記録（エラーの内容など）も送信します（目的: 分析／必須）。識別子はインストールごとに作られるもので、広告IDやお名前とは結びつけません。第三者と共有することはありません。
- 広告に関する同意: 広告を読み込む前に、Google のユーザーメッセージングプラットフォーム（UMP）へ問い合わせ、同意フォームの表示が必要かどうかを確認します。この確認のため、アプリの識別情報、SDKのバージョン、通信に使われるIPアドレスが Google に送信されます（起動のたびに行われ、通信できなかった場合を同意とみなすことはありません）。EEA・英国など対象の地域では同意フォームが表示され、Google 側が「広告を配信してよい」と判断するまで、広告は一度も読み込まれず、広告の枠そのものが作られません。いったん行った選択は、設定画面の「広告のプライバシー設定」からいつでも変更・撤回できます。
- Google Play 開発者サービスのフォント: 表示言語が日本語のときにかぎり、日本語書体（Noto Sans JP / M PLUS Rounded 1c）を Google Play 開発者サービスのフォントプロバイダ経由で取得します。送信されるのは書体名と証明書の照合情報だけで、あなたを識別する情報は含みません（通信である以上、IPアドレスは Google に届きます）。取得できない端末では標準のフォントで表示されます。
- 音声読み上げ（TTS）: 読み上げには、お使いの端末にインストールされている Android の Text-to-Speech エンジンを使用します。フレーズの文章は同じ端末内のそのエンジンに渡されるだけで、本アプリが音声や文章を外部へ送信することはありません。音声を録音することもありません。通信を必要とするネットワーク音声は使用しない設計のため、英語の音声が端末に入っていればオフラインでも読み上げられます。入っていない場合は、設定画面の「音声データをインストール」から Android の標準画面に移動し、初回に一度だけダウンロードしていただく必要があります。
3. 対象ユーザーおよび子ども向けプライバシー
本アプリは、0〜3歳児を育てる保護者（18歳以上）が日常の声かけ英語を学ぶことを主目的として開発されています。13歳未満のお子様から直接個人情報を収集することはありません。
4. データの安全管理と削除要求
取得した情報は、送信時にSSL/TLS等により暗号化され、安全に保管されます。お子さんの名前、あなたの続柄、メールアドレス、学習の記録を第三者へ販売・譲渡することは一切なく、広告のために利用・共有することもありません。一方で、上記「B. 自動的に収集される情報およびサードパーティSDK」に記載のとおり、広告ID、IPアドレスから推定されるおおよその位置情報、診断情報、アプリの操作情報は、広告の配信と測定のために、広告ネットワークである Google と共有されます。
クラウド同期データの削除は、下記窓口（appsupporttech@gmail.com）へのメールでいつでもご依頼いただけます。アカウント同期をご利用の場合は、設定画面の「アカウントとデータを削除」からもご自身で完全に削除できます。なお、ログアウトはこの端末の接続解除のみで、同期データは削除されません。
この端末の中だけに保存されている学習の記録や設定は、アカウント同期をご利用にならないかぎり外部には保存されず、アプリを削除すると消去されます。同期データはアカウントが存続するあいだ保持し、メールでの削除ご依頼は受領から30日以内に対応します。EEA・英国にお住まいの方を含め、ご自身の情報の開示・訂正・削除をご希望の場合は上記の窓口へ、広告への同意の撤回をご希望の場合は設定画面の「広告のプライバシー設定」から、いつでもお手続きいただけます。

本ポリシーは、アプリの仕様変更や法令の改定にあわせて更新することがあります。改定した場合はこのページ冒頭の最終更新日を更新し、その版を最新のものとします。

1. Introduction (English)
Parentese ("we", "our", or "the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.
2. Information Collection and Use
A. Information You Provide (Optional Google Sign-In)
- Account Data: When signing in with Google, we receive your email address, display name, and avatar URL.
- Purpose: Strictly for synchronizing your study progress (streak days, favorites, quiz mistake records, daily timelines) across your family devices.
- Working Without a Connection: Sign-in is optional. The phrase library, phrase detail, flashcards, the quiz, the daily columns, your favorites, your progress and every setting are stored inside the app and open with no connection at all. A connection is used in these places. Ads are fetched over the network; offline the request fails and the ad slot collapses. The consent check that runs before any ad (see Ad Consent below) also uses the network, on every launch. The English speech voice may need a one-time download if your device does not already have one; once it is installed, speech works offline. When the interface language is Japanese, the Japanese typefaces are fetched over the network as well, falling back to the platform font if they cannot be.
- Child's Name and Your Relationship to the Child (Optional): Two places let you enter the child's name and say whether you are their mother, father, grandmother, grandfather, aunt or uncle — page 2 of the three-page first-run tutorial, and Settings at any time afterwards — so the phrases address the child by name and are worded in your own voice. Both fields are optional, and the whole app works if you leave them empty. They are used only to word the text shown on screen and to have the on-device voice read that text aloud. While you are signed out, both stay in this app's private storage on your device and are never transmitted. If you sign in and enable account sync, both are stored against your account in Google Cloud Firestore so that the same wording follows you to your other devices. They are never used for advertising, never shared with third parties, and never used to build a profile. Clearing the fields removes them from this device and from your synced data; deleting your account in Settings erases them from our servers along with the rest of your progress.
B. Third-Party Services & Automated Data
- Google Mobile Ads (AdMob): The app shows ads in three places: a banner anchored under the bottom tab bar, a banner inside the phrase list, and an ad break after every few flashcards. No ad is shown between quiz questions or during the first-run tutorial. To serve, measure and protect those ads from fraud, the following is sent to and shared with Google as our ad network (a third party):
- Advertising ID (GAID): the advertising identifier of the device, sent with every ad request (purposes: advertising, analytics and fraud prevention; required).
- Approximate location: a country- or region-level area that Google estimates from the IP address your device connects with (purposes: advertising, analytics and fraud prevention; required). The app never reads your device's location and asks for no location permission.
- Diagnostics: performance and error data from the ads SDK (purposes: advertising, analytics and fraud prevention; required).
- App interactions: launches, ads shown, and taps on the ad slots (purposes: advertising, analytics and fraud prevention; required).
Google uses these to choose ads that match your interests and to measure them. They are needed for ads to be shown, so they cannot be chosen individually (when no ad is loaded, none of this is sent). The child's name, your relationship to the child, your email address and your study records are never included in an ad request. For how Google handles this data, see the Google Privacy Policy and the AdMob policy. You can reset or delete the advertising ID from Android under Settings > Privacy > Ads.
- Crash logs (Firebase Crashlytics): so that crashes can be counted and fixed, the app sends an identifier for this installation along with the device model and the Android version, and when the app crashes it also sends a record of the failure, such as the error (purpose: analytics; required). The identifier is created per installation and is never linked to the advertising ID or to any name. None of this is shared with any third party.
- Ad Consent: before any ad is loaded, the app asks Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) whether a consent form is required. That check sends the app identifier, the SDK version and your IP address to Google; it runs on every launch, and a failed network call is never treated as consent. In the EEA, the UK and other covered regions the form is shown, and no ad is requested and no ad slot is even created until Google reports that ads may be served to you. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time from Ad privacy options in Settings.
- Google Play services fonts: when the interface language is Japanese — and only then — the Japanese typefaces (Noto Sans JP and M PLUS Rounded 1c) are fetched through the Google Play services font provider. Only the family name and a certificate check are sent, nothing that identifies you, though as with any network request your IP address reaches Google. Devices without the provider render in the platform font instead.
- Text-to-Speech (TTS): Speech uses the Android text-to-speech engine installed on your device. The phrase text is handed to that engine on the same device; this app does not send the text or any audio anywhere, and no voice is recorded. Voices that require a network connection are deliberately excluded, so speech works offline once an English voice is installed. If your device has no English voice yet, Install voice data in Settings opens Android's own screen for a one-time download.
3. Children's Privacy (COPPA)
Parentese is specifically designed for adult parents and guardians (18+). We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.
4. User Rights and Data Deletion
Information we receive is encrypted in transit with SSL/TLS and stored securely. We never sell or transfer the child's name, your relationship to the child, your email address or your study records to anyone, and never use or share them for advertising. As set out under Third-Party Services in section 2 B above, the advertising ID, the approximate location Google estimates from your IP address, diagnostics and app interactions are shared with Google as our ad network so that ads can be served and measured.
You can request deletion of synced data at any time by emailing appsupporttech@gmail.com. If you use account sync, Settings > Delete account and data also permanently removes your synced records and your account, and clears this device. Signing out only disconnects this device and does not delete anything.
Progress and settings kept only on this device are not stored anywhere else unless you use account sync, and they are erased when you uninstall the app. Synced data is kept for as long as your account exists, and deletion requests sent by email are honored within 30 days of receipt. If you are in the EEA or the UK, you can also use the address above to ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of your information, and you can withdraw your consent to advertising at any time from Ad privacy options in Settings.
5. Contact
We may update this policy when the app changes or the law requires it. When we do, we update the effective date at the top of this page, and that version is the current one.
